"They say what they do, they do what they say. My transmission was failing. I brought my car to Lakeside, the problem was diagnosed correctly. I opted to have the transmission replaced. The quote I was given was below Kelly Blue book fair price for an independent to perform this service. The time it should take to complete service is 1-2 days which they did once the parts were obtained. They used OEM parts in my case which took longer to obtain. I credit the shop for taking the time to get quality parts instead of hurrying up and just grabbing anything to get the job done faster. Once the work was completed, I was given an itemized statement identifying each charge. I asked them if I could see the invoices of the parts they purchased for my vehicle and they willingly offered to show me. There was documentation of my initial complaints when I brought the vehicle in, what they found, what they did. I was given a copy of the warranty for the transmission. I was given the opportunity to ask Josh questions after the service which I found absolutely impressive. Most places are like: "Here's your stuff, bye". Lakeside Autowerks is an honest shop with quality people who can do whatever your car needs done to it. Another thing is that when they are doing the service that your vehicle was brought in for, they are checking other things around the vehicle as well. If something else is out of order or in need of attention soon, they will tell you. I chose to have my transmission taken care of here because of the reviews. I also want to leave a review encouraging others to consider this shop. Josh, the owner is a Master mechanic. I'm very happy with the service i got here and dont feel like i got ripped off.
